Survey Cost Guide

A useful survey quote starts with the property and the work required. There is no single price that covers every boundary, design or construction survey.

Records and boundary evidence
The available title and survey plans, earlier marks and evidence that must be found or checked influence research and fieldwork.

Extent and site conditions
The area, terrain, vegetation, structures and access affect how the work is carried out. A survey of part of a rural property can have a different scope from a survey of the full title.

Deliverables and intended use
A report, boundary marking, contour plan, digital drawing and staged setout are different products. Confirm required datum, formats, checks and documents with your designer or adviser before the quote is prepared.

Travel, timing and return visits
Location, coordination, site readiness and further construction stages can require additional visits. Discuss the likely programme rather than assuming all stages are included in an initial visit.

What to send for a quote
Provide the address, intended work, available plans, survey brief, relevant approvals and preferred timing. We confirm the agreed inclusions, exclusions and booking arrangements. Survey fees should be considered separately from approval, engineering, legal and registration costs where these apply.
